What is special about Tai Chi for Arthritis?

“Tai Chi for Arthritis” is particularly suitable for people with arthritis or balance problems because:

Ø       It is based on the Sun style which uses a higher stance than other styles and it doesn’t include any low dips or high kicks. The Open and Close movements of Sun Style also allow good opportunity to check and adjust ones posture.

Ø       While focus on weight-shifting remains a very important element, in TCA the weight is more evenly spread for much of the time, and small steps are used which are particularly helpful for anyone having a problem with balance.

Ø       There are no turns on a weight-bearing foot.

Ø       The sequence of moves is very short and therefore relatively easy to learn, so that you can start working on the principles earlier, and start feeling the benefit sooner.
